Pembrokeshire Primary Schools’ Cross Country Championships
Yesterday our team of athletes took part in the annual
Pembrokeshire Primary Schools’ Cross Country Championships. This
was the first year at the new venue of Carew airfield. All of the
team gave of their best and medals were won in the Y4 and Y5 girls’
races where Janelle came 8th and Lexi came 1st – a wonderful
achievement girls; well done. Many thanks to Mrs Kerrison who did
a brilliant job of team manager and particular thanks to Mr and Mrs
Robinson who supported her with all of the many tasks involved. It
was nice to see so many parents supporting their children. This
event has always been run by the Pembrokeshire Harriers members
who give so generously of their time to organise and run the vent –
they include our very own Mrs Freeman and her husband Pete, Mrs
Codd, Mr Buckley and Mr Mansfield. Thanks to all of you for
providing this opportunity for our pupils.
Harvest Mass
The Harvest Mass will be held in school on Thursday 24th October at 9.30am. Any donations for the
Harvest table will be gratefully received.
Rugby Tickets
We have some more free tickets available this week – many thanks to
Ceri for keeping us supplied. The next match is Scarlets vs Cheetahs –
kick off 15.00 – Saturday 2nd November and Scarlets vs Benetton
kick off 19.35 – Saturday 9th November. Please see Mrs Evans in the
office if you are interested.
School Uniform
After half-term the pupils should be returning to school in their winter
uniform; this includes footwear. There appear to be a lot of pupils wearing
trainers instead of school shoes. Pupils may bring trainers into school to
change into for playtime football, but at all other times school shoes should
be worn. Thank you for your co-operation with this.
