Harvest Afternoon Tea
On Friday 25th October the Mini-Vinnies will be hosting an afternoon tea
in the parish hall with members of the SVP. We would like to invite you
to join the community group that meet there on the last Friday of every
month and support the Mini-Vinnies in their annual fundraiser. There will
be a small charge of £2 per person for refreshments. We will be having
the usual collection of foodstuffs which will then be offered to the SVP
and PATCH to distribute to the local elderly and needy. Tickets will be
available for the afternoon tea from next week.
Extraordinary Month of Mission
Pope Francis has declared October an Extraordinary Month of Mission. During this month of prayer and action, we pray the breath of the Holy Spirit will bring about a new missionary ‘dawn’ in the Church. God impels us constantly to set out anew, to pass beyond what is familiar, to the fringes and beyond.
The Mission boxes which were given out recently are to be returned by 25th October when the collection will be counted and sent to the Mission charity.

Social Media
Social Media
Please could I remind you about naming staff and making comments about them on social media sites and other such forums? Please could you approach me in the first instance if you have concerns about anything/anyone in the school rather than discuss it on social media or question your children. We are committed to the safeguarding of our pupils here, but also have a duty of care to our very hard-working staff. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club
Breakfast club closes at 8.40am and, if the blinds are down, you are asked to walk the children round to the gate which will open at 8.50am.
Please ensure that your children are safely through the school gates in the morning before leaving them. Once inside the school grounds they become our responsibility.
Parents’ Evenings
Parents’ Evenings
These will next take place after half-term. Foundation Phase will be held on Monday 2nd December and key stage 2 on Tuesday 3rd December. If you wish to speak tour child’s class teacher, please could that be done at the end of the day or arrange a time that is suitable to you both? Due to the fact that they are busy preparing the lessons for the day, they are not available to meet before school.
Home/School Diaries
These have now been sent home to all pupils in key stage 2, from years 2 – 6. These will be in full use from Monday and will provide an easy means of home/school communication. Pupils can record reminders e.g. PE kit, homework, spellings and any information teachers feel that parents need to know and vice versa. Please would you mind looking at these regularly and signing them at the end of the week. We are encouraging the pupils to look after them and bring them into school each day. If they get lost a replacement will cost £2.
Increased Meal Prices
Please see below the increased meal prices for primary meals as of September 2019:
